The Göta Canal is one of Sweden's largest construction works of all time, and one of the biggest tourist attractions. This cycle map starts in the west at Vättern and Motala and extends to lake Roxen and all the way to little Mem where the canal flows into Slätbaken and the Baltic Sea. The cycling along the canal is mostly flat and offers charming views of boat traffic and an almost Ostrogothic landscape. The cycle map also includes many of the towns in Östergötland dating back to the Middle Ages. Cycle map Göta Kanal gives a detailed picture of the cycle paths in the area.
On the northern part of the map are cities such as Motala, Vadstena, Skänninge, Mjölby and Linköping. On the southern part of this cycle map, Söderköping, Åtvidaberg and Valdemarsvik in the southeast can be found.
