Cute barn owl, 20 cm.
In Sweden, the species is found in the northern parts, from the Härjedalen and northwards, but only rarely.
The barn owl can grow up to 66cm, wingspan up to 165cm. Their yellow eyes correctly judge the distance to their prey.
The barn owl is quiet and very shy during the winter months, in the spring it can make shrill calls that can be heard as far as 10 km away.
